Catching Up With Online Business

In our last article we discussed about the necessity of the language for expression and the force that written word can become.

Here we continue, uninterrupted.

A written sentence has to convey the fullness of the meaning without any help of gestures or voice modulation available to the spoken word.

This led to development of the rules for written language. First and foremost is the grammar. If your writings do not follow these rules they won’t be read. Grammatical errors are acceptable in our conversations but when it comes to writing it is an unforgivable mistake.

Correct spellings are another requirement of a good writing. Spelling errors popularly referred as typos (We are now in a world where people type more than they write!) spoil the taste of good reading .One must watch for these errors.

Everybody hates spelling mistakes. It does not matter whether the people themselves are good at it not. Food should be perfect for everybody’s palate irrespective of their culinary knowledge.

The last requirement of a sentence making is the use of right words.

There is not much scope for alteration and leverage as for as the spellings and grammar are concerned. So it is the combination of right words that makes a writing unique.

One must strive to choose the optimum set of words for the sentence within the framework of the grammar. The need varies from one writing to another and many a words can be used with different meaning attached it them in different perspectives. But to make a good writing careful selection is a must.

One has to choose wisely. Pause and ponder deliberately to look for the options best suited for your sentence and narration.

Words have originated at different times in different cultures. These words carry with than a subtle aura or personality and they import this aura to the sentence which they are put in.

Let us have an example.

Wealth, money moolah or cash! There are so many terms to describe money.

But each of them does brings a little different impact on our brains. This is because though our upbringing and culture we start imparting a different image to different words.
This difference could also be due to difference in intelligence and cultural background.

But because the language is passed from one generation to another in a rather clear cut and organized manner the words themselves leaves an imprint on the learning mind provided we take out other variables. This imprint or image is then generated back each time the word is encountered.

Every writing would incite a response in the reader. That is the aim of the writing. That is what a good writer wants.

If you are writing a sales copy the effect should lead the readers to the sales. Better you use your words better is the copy and its desired effect. Same goes for a webpage, e-book, email or anything you write. The factor that will differentiate a bang from thud is the right use of the words.

How far did you penetrate the minds of the reader will depend mainly on the words that you used to create the writing if we keep the reader related factors (for example education, intelligence, culture, language proficiency etc)

The choice of words will ultimately depend upon your style and vocabulary you have. Style comes from your personality and inferences you carry. Vocabulary comes from constant reading and inculcation.

Heather,

Article writing and submission works. Of course, if you know
who I am, you also know that I have a reason to be biased.

I run http://thePhantomWriters.com , so I have been involved in
this industry for a long time. In the early days, my business
model was designed around writing articles for people who did
not have the time, skills or confidence to write their own
articles.

From the beginning, I understood full well that the value of
an article is not in the words and the flow, but in the ability
of getting the article in front of the greatest number of
publishers who would actually consider reprinting the article.

I dedicated a portion of my program to developing methods to
get articles written for my clients into the hands of the
largest possible audience.

In November of 2002, I began offering my distribution service
as a stand-alone service. In September of 2003, I stopped
writing articles for clients and devoted my entire business to
growing my distribution service and my distribution reach with
the service. Right now, I am able to reach more than 12,000
publishers and webmasters who have requested to receive articles
for consideration.

As you can see, I really am biased to this method of Internet
promotion. Despite this, the method does work. Until 2004, I
promoted my business utilizing ONLY article writing. In the
early days of 2004, I purchased two long-term ads in targeted
websites. In July of 2004, I opened up my first Google Adwords
account.

When it comes to advertising, I play it very conservatively.
When it comes to growing my distribution reach, I make it a
daily journey. When it comes to writing my own articles to
promote my own business, I try hard to do one article per week
averaged over the month.

Promoting with articles works for me and my business. Promoting
with articles also works for the more than 100 online writer’s
my company represents. If promoting with articles did not work,
then my clients are throwing their money away. Instead, they
keep coming back, and some have made a commitment to themselves
for one article per week to be written and distributed.

I have taken the long way around here, but I have a reason.

While I do not offer ghost writing services at this time, there
are in fact 100’s of writer’s out there in the world who would
be happy to write your articles for you. Many of these writer’s
are very good at what they do.

You might have to pay $300 to get one article written, but if
your time is worth anything at all, this $300 investment will
more than pay for itself down the road.

Remember what Kathy said previously in this thread, “I have
articles that bring me steady streams of traffic even though
the articles were published years ago.”

This applies even to articles I have written. I wrote my first
in March of 1999. My second was written in July of 1999. My
second article has been distributed twice in those five years
and does get published again and again. It was last published
in July of 2004. I have more than 65 in circulation and all of
these articles still generate traffic for my sites.

If you honestly believe that writing your own articles is too
much work, then you should shop around for a ghost writer whose
style you like and whose article topics appeal to your target
markets.

1. Brainstorm for new ideas.

Add your brainstormed ideas to an idea file that you can go back to when you are stuck for a topic.

Also add ideas you get from other sources into this file so that you’ll always have a fresh source of inspiration.

2. Visit forums and message boards.

Look for an interesting topic or thread in the posts that you can turn into a new article.

3. Check out newspapers and news programs.

Depending on what you like to write about, you could find some new hot topics.

4. Subscribe to e-zines that reach your target audience.

You’ll be able to get new, relevant information that could spark an idea for an article.

5. Review your own articles.

Keep your eyes open for things that you touch on in your articles that you could expand into a full article.

Also look for ways to further educate your readers on the topics that you’ve written about in the past.

6. Read other people’s articles.

If you want to become a successful writer then you require following certain techniques and skills. You may ask me question that you are just writing for fun. Everything seems fine, no mistakes, no false statements, no taboo ideologies expressed but still you get “satisfactory” and think about what a looser you are. It seems unfair. After getting the same result each time you ask yourself, what is that I do wrong? How to write it? Here are some hints for you to get the general idea of how to do it. First of all, you are to choose, what kind of essay it will be (for and against, persuasive, description essay). Each of them has its own peculiarities and requires different style. Then you have to structure your essay properly in order to highlight the theme you were given or you have chosen. There has to be an introduction, where you introduce the main idea and the statement around which you are going to make your essay. Then goes a main body where you state all the necessary facts to prove your idea, express your opinion, and make an impression. Use as many facts as it is only possible. This will make your essay more interesting and serve the right aim, to impress the reader by your intelligence and writing skills. Then conclusion comes, where you summarize everything mentioned in the main body and make the necessary statements, according to the type of essay you are going to write.

If you consider at least some of the above mentioned you will not have to do this term paper research, spend hours to compose it, check it hundred times, than give it to a friend to check, and see that the result stays the same and you hide the paper with disgust and swear that it will never happen again. Your research paper has to be next to perfect. Language you use is also very important. Your idea may seem great and the facts that you’ve stated are proper, but the way you have represented them leaves something more to be desired. You are to be careful with words, not to use strong verbs unless it is absolutely necessary. There has to be no offence, no matter how emotional your essay is. There have to be some introductory words like “all the things considered”, “actually” etc. This shows your excellent knowledge of the literary language. This is an additional plus to your nicely composed and well-written essay. It is also a big plus for you to use quotations and extracts out of famous writers’ masterpieces. It makes your language more emphatic and makes very good impression on those who read it.

And finally, you are to use some psychology. You may know a person you turn the paper in to. It is your teacher or a lecturer so one way or another you may get acquainted with some of her/his basic ideas and principles. Even if your essay is perfect and there is nothing to add and to correct, you’ll still be given an “F” for not responding to the ideas of the lectures delivered. So, be careful with what you write and what you express, your reader may not like it. To make a good impression one also has to be very accurate. If you had a task to write an essay on the spot, not to print at home, you have to make a sketch and only then, after looking through it write it to your final paper, with no corrections made. If you read this carefully and follow some of the instructions, you’ll reach success in writing and hang your work graded “A” on the wall above the bed.
