Traditional Board Games
Traditional board games have been making a comeback in recent years. Many families have reinstated the family game night tradition. Affordable and fun for all ages, board games can mean hours of fun for anywhere from 2 to 10 players. An all-time favorite is Monopoly. Most people have a history with this traditional board game. Unlike some other games, the more the merrier with Monopoly. Each player is given their game piece, $1500 in monopoly money and their shot at making it big in the real estate world. Play continues around the board until one player owns the board. Great family game night fun. Chess and Checkers are also great traditional board games. While checkers may be an easier game to master, it can be a game of strategy and expertise. All you need is the checker board and checkers and a small table to set them up. While only 2 can play per game, it’s always nice to have an audience. Chess takes a little more time to learn but can be a great passtime. It too consists of a board and chess pieces and doesn’t take much room to set up. A game can be completed quickly or can go on for hours or days depending on the player’s skill. Traditional Board Games = low cost family entertainment. For more information and games have a look at the Ducth site about board games Bord Spelletjes.
