Dont Take Fishing for Granted

I wish to express my gratefulness to Kingsbury waterpark within the West Midlands for a day that might have pretty easily ended in a tragedy if it wasn’t for their fast thinking staff. We travelled about fifty miles with a car full of excited youngsters who could not wait to go fishing. As soon as we got there we arrange the camp next to the fising section of the park, fired up the grill and positioned the deck chairs in the sun. We set the children up with the parks fishing rods and sat them all together, happily fishing away. I knew that the kids will get bored in 30 minutes of not catching a sole fish, however these 30 minutes were better than zero minutes. I was watching the children with one eye and barbecue with the other, then I noticed the sound of the whistle blow thrice. The sound was same as the practise of getting out of the pool drill happens in school swimming lesson. My coronary heart missed a beat after I saw that a kid was missing from one of the stool by the embankment. I straight away ran to the park workers to get the child pulled out of the waters. He was over excited when he felt a bite, lost balance and fell into the water. The most terrible part was he couldn’t swim however the staff had grabbed him straight away, his head didn’t even go beneath the water. Seeing him alright I was so relieved, it could have been hard to explain this to his mother.I thanked the waterpark staff to get every thing back to normal and then we tucked to the barbecue. The kids were milking the trauma for all it was worth and seeing as it probably was my fault in the first place I succumb to their begs to go cycling on some tandems that were accessible for rent. Not a good plan as it turns out! The same child that I had nearly just been liable for drowning had now began throwing up the huge quantities of sausages he had just eaten on the grill because we had gone pretty much straight on the bike ride. I will not at all win guardian or mum of the year reward, I am pretty much positive about this. In any case my sons buddy turned out to be OK plus the day was pleasant for the rest of the kids, it is strange though, we haven’t seen the kid since!
