Dr. Joel Roskind Plans Active Retirement as a Teacher
Joel Roskind MD is retired from plastic surgery, but busier than ever extending know how reaped from thirty-year work to physicians and medical students. As a surgeon, Joel Roskind specialized in body enhancements, but he also made a point of acquiring multiple interests in the medical field, giving broad expertise and perspective which he now plans to leverage as a lecturer and adviser
Joel Roskind approaches medicine from a multidisciplinary and humanitarian perspective. Joel Roskind also served in the U. S. Navy as part of a three-man plastic surgery team, and during that time he traveled to Mexico to do surgery on disadvantaged children with cleft lips and palates.
He has previously instructed at Boston University, the Nassau University Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, University of California, San Diego and Cornell Medical School. He is also the former Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor or Surgery at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. He served in the U. S. Navy as part of a three-man plastic surgery team, and during that time traveled to Mexico to do surgery on underprivileged children with congenital deformities.
And, Joel Roskind is an veteran teacher. He has previously instructed at Boston University, as well as the Nassau University Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, Cornell Medical School and the University of California, San Diego. He is also the former Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor or Surgery at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine.
Joel Roskind has always considered that because patients put so much trust in their physicians, doctors have a special obligation to make sure patients get the best possible care, and he has worked throughout his work to make sure they are protected by strict safety standards. He trusts to continue to contribute to the medical field in this area as a consultant. In what promises to be a very active retirement, Dr. Joel Roskind also plans to follow a personal interest in Judaic spirituality.
