Anger and Your Driving: Using Self-Talk to Create Safer

Date: January 28, 2001
Place: Fashion Island, Newport Beach, California
The incident: Jane, a middle aged professional woman had an altercation with another woman who accosted her after she refused to give up her parking spot.

Jane clearly reached the coveted spot first, but the other woman asked her to move, explaining she was 20 minutes late for a doctor’s appointment. At first, Jane thought it was a joke, but before she knew it, the two women were tussling on the concrete.

Most people feel angry in situations when someone making outrageous requests of us. This is because our brains are ‘hardwired’ to react with anger when we are frustrated or when obstacles prevent us from reaching our goals.

Aggressive driving behavior is due, in part, to a breakdown of an individual’s internal control of their emotions in public places.

Other common driving frustrations and irritations that often cause angry feelings and weakening of control include being:

-Stuck in traffic while late for an appointment

-Delayed by a driver going 10 miles an hour below the speed limit

-Threatened by driver trying to intimidate you

-Getting cut off by a driver

Gaining control of our emotions - and more importantly, our behavior - is often a matter of finding a way to change our perspective or vista of the situation.

Frequently, what we tell ourselves is so automatic that we don’t even realize what it is we are thinking; yet, our thinking patterns are what make us more angry or calm us by changing how we experience that which is frustrating us.

Example 1: Getting cut off. Someone triggers anger by cutting you off in traffic; you automatically tell yourself things like ‘What a jerk; he has no right to do that to me; I’m going to get even; he did that to me on purpose; why does he disrespect me like that? How dare he do that to me, etc.

Self-talk alternatives: Instead, try changing your self-talk to:

-I can stay calm; he might be a dangerous threat to me.

-I’m sure it is not personal; he is cutting me off because he is stressed and in a hurry.

-I’m not going to radiate and stoop to his or her level; there are many reasons for his or her behavior; maybe he just phoned his boss who said he would get fired if not in the office in the next ten minutes or he may be reacting to family responsibilities.

Benefits of your new perspective:

-Increased tolerance and more understanding of possible reasons for the other driver’s bad behavior.

-Resolve not to make his or her problems your problem. (Remember: it doesn’t have to be!)

-Understand that getting even to right the wrong of another driver is not justified or rational.

-Remember that maintaining a hostile attitude on the road is harmful to society - innocent drivers, their families and their loved ones.

Example 2: Slow driver:

You are late to an appointment but stuck behind a gray-haired lady going 15 miles an hour below the speed limit. Your automatic thoughts: ‘Why does this always happen to me? She is doing this to make me late. Why can’t she get out of my way? How inconsiderate she is! She shouldn’t have a driver’s license.’

Self-talk options:

-She is not driving slowly to make me late; she probably isn’t even aware of me.

-Maybe she is old and impaired and doing the best she can.

-Perhaps she just came from the doctor’s office with bad news and is on the verge of tears.

-I can’t control how fast she drives so why get upset?

Angry feelings are a normal response to driving frustrations. Unfortunately, our ‘automatic thoughts’ may increase these feelings and cause us to lose control.

Learning different ’self-talk’ gives us a powerful tool to control our negative emotions on the road so we can avoid death, serious injury or legal problems.

The Black Pope - Part One

I have seen half the earth desolated. Were there but an Adam & Eve left in every country, & left free, it would be better than it now is… The liberty of the whole earth was depending on the issue of the contest.’ - Thomas Jefferson” (4)

COUNT PETER-HANS KOLVENBACH: - Also known as the ‘Black Pope’, he heads the army of technocratic and theocratic Jesuits which some people think is the top rung on the power structure which controls the New World Order. I do not buy that in its entirety but they are an important second tier group and he may well be part of the group above the Jesuits like Weishaupt, or the current Pope. Here is his first formal message to the world; I think it speaks volumes, if you like double talk.

“Father Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J., has been Superior General of the Society of Jesus since 1983. This is his first letter to all Jesuits world-wide in this new millennium. It is also his first to have been distributed on the WWW.

On the Social Apostolate 2000/02
TO THE WHOLE SOCIETY
Dear Fathers and Brothers, the peace of Christ!

1. A few weeks after the opening of the Holy Door, I would like to recall that the Great Jubilee of 2000, like every jubilee, is a summons on the part of our Creator and Saviour to re-establish lost harmony and to advance in social justice. The loud trumpet - the ybel - which sounded to open the holy year, called every injustice into question and gave hope to the poor! When Jesus begins to preach the good news, his anointing and mission are ‘to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’ Now Pope John Paul II has reactivated the age-old purpose of the jubilee to restore this social justice. ‘The social doctrine of the Church, which has always been a part of Church teaching and which has developed greatly in the last century, particularly after the Encyclical Rerum Novarum, is rooted in the tradition of the jubilee year.’

2. To be converted to this social dimension of faith, which pervades the biblical tradition and the Gospels, the Father also calls the Society of Jesus anew. From its very earliest origins, the preferential option for the poor, assuming various forms according to times and places, has marked the whole history of the Society. With his powerful Instruction of fifty years ago, Father Jean-Baptiste Janssens oriented the Jesuit social apostolate ‘to procure for as many men as possible, or rather, in so far as conditions permit for all men, an abundance of both temporal and spiritual goods even in the natural order, or at least that sufficiency which man of his very nature needs that he may not feel depressed or looked down upon.’

Father Pedro Arrupe took up this apostolic orientation passionately and based it solidly upon the thoroughly evangelical relationship between social justice, as well defined by his predecessor, and the new commandment of love - so new as to need a new word, namely, agape. A social justice integrated with the great commandment of love is always intended by the General Congregations. ‘The social justice we are called to is part of that justice of the Gospel which is the embodiment of God’s love and saving mercy.’

Pope John Paul II, also asking if justice sufficed by itself, gave this response: ‘The experience of the past and of our own time demonstrates that justice alone is not enough, that it can even lead to the negation and destruction of itself, if that deeper power, which is love, is not allowed to shape human life in its various dimensions.’ Father Arrupe and the recent General Congregations, echoing the Holy Father’s concern, acknowledge, on the one hand, how charity can be abused when it is a mere cloak or subterfuge for injustice but that, on the other hand, ‘one cannot act justly without love. Even when we resist injustice we cannot prescind from love, since the universality of love is, by the express desire of Christ, a commandment that admits of no exceptions.’

3. Authoritatively synthesising the progress of the four General Congregations after Vatican II, the Complementary Norms affirm: ‘the contemporary Jesuit mission is the service of faith and the promotion in society of that justice of the Gospel which is the embodiment of God’s love and saving mercy … This mission is ‘a single but complex reality, which develops in a variety of ways” in the very varied fields and works and activities in which Jesuits are engaged throughout the world. Despite the considerable difficulties and our many failures, we look back with gratitude to the Lord for the gifts received on this ‘journey of faith as we committed ourselves to the promotion of justice as an integral part of our mission.’ The Society has evolved to the point where GC34 voted unanimously in favour of the decree Our Mission and Justice, and the vast majority of Jesuits have integrated the social dimension into our Jesuit identity and into the awareness of our mission in education, formation and social communications, in pastoral and retreat work. In many places the concern for justice is an essential part of our public image in both Church and society, thanks to those ministries of ours which are characterised by love for the poor and the marginalised, defending human rights and ecology, and promoting non-violence and reconciliation.

4. Directly out of this contemporary mission with its integrating principle of faith and justice comes the social apostolate and its specific focus, as the Complementary Norms explain. ‘The social apostolate, like every form of our apostolate, flows from the mission; in the planning of our apostolic activities, in fulfilling today’s mission of the Society in the service of faith, it should take its place among those having priority. Its goal is to build a fuller expression of justice and charity into the structures of human life in common.’ In each Province and Assistancy, this social apostolate incarnates the social dimension of our mission, concretely embodies it in real commitments and renders it visible. In different places and in varying circumstances, the social apostolate takes multiple forms: social research and publications, advocacy and human development, and direct social action with and for the poor.

The Jesuit social apostolate today exhibits some noteworthy positive elements. Above all, it faces very different challenges in all corners of the world with dedication, energy and creativity. There are countless examples of Jesuits involved, collaborating with others, in projects and movements to bring greater justice and charity to society. Moreover, the social apostolate keeps showing the capacity to attract gifted and generous co-workers, as well as candidates to the Society. As if to confirm the mission of faith and justice, God has providentially granted the Society the mysterious gift of martyrdom in recent years.

4. At the same time and paradoxically, this awareness of the social dimension of our mission does not always find concrete expression in a vital social apostolate. On the contrary, the latter manifests some troubling weaknesses: There seem to be ever fewer Jesuits available and less prepared for the social apostolate, while those already in the field are sometimes discouraged and scattered, somehow lacking in collaboration and organisation. Factors external to the Society are also weakening the social apostolate: The times are marked by unforeseeable and very rapid socio-cultural changes, not easy to read and even harder to respond to effectively (e.g., globalisation, the excesses of the market economy, drug traffic and corruption, mass migration, ecological degradation, outbreaks of brutal violence). Formerly-inspiring visions of society and broad strategies for structural change have ceded to scepticism or a preference, at best, for more modest projects and restricted approaches.

5. Thus the social apostolate risks losing its vigour and momentum, its orientation and impact. Were this to happen in a given Province or Assistancy, then for lack of a vital and well-organised social apostolate, the essential social dimension would also probably fade away bit by bit. Such a process of erosion would inevitably reduce Our mission today (GC32) and Our mission and justice (GC34) to a few obligatory but rhetorical phrases in the discourse of the Society, leaving our option for the poor and our promotion of justice hollowed out.

May we not find ourselves ever less capable of being present - or even of hearing the call to go - ‘wherever in the Church, even in the most difficult and extreme fields, in the crossroads of ideologies, in the front line of social conflict, there has been and there is confrontation between the deepest desires of man and the perennial message of the Gospel,’ in the ringing words of Pope Paul VI addressing the delegates of GC32 and of Pope John Paul II addressing those of GC34.

6. So it seems of vital importance to keep striving to translate our social awareness, identity and image into effective, evangelically meaningful service to the poorest and most suffering of God’s people. It is a matter of continually re-discovering and re-discerning - in situ - the demands and challenges which the recent General Congregations pose to our social action in today’s societies, cultures and religions. In “the dialogue of action,” for example, we are to collaborate with others, rooted in their own religious traditions, for the integral development and liberation of people.

Last Days

Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Jesus sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Jesus Christ, The First, The Last, The Eternal.

Jesus Christ. The First , The Last, The Eternal. Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

There are many times in our lives where we ask ourselves the question;”What is my purpose in Life?” And there are some who make a living, telling others exactly what it is. Many write books covering the subject and others make movies and presentations, but none really address the answer very clearly. Haven you seen time after time children killing themselves because they say that there is no purpose in their lives? The demands of this life time and especially of this upcoming generation is weighing down many a persons spirit, cutting them to the bone, not leaving them any recourse but to go with the flow, being swept away with peer pressure and company abuse. So what is the answer, is it in a book, a movie, a presentation or a single mans idea of life? No, The answer is in Jesus. Lets read a little Scripture and look at the Son of Man. Luke 17:20-24, And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. Counselors, psychriacrist and others say they know what people need, but they never mention Jesus. Jesus, The Son of Man, Son of God, Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Word, The Prince of Peace, The Lord of The Sabbath, The Christ, The Seeker of the Lost, The Avenger, The Rewarder, The First, The Last, The Eternal, The Faithful Witness,The First Begotten of the Dead, The prince of the Kings of the Earth, The Bright and Shining Star, The Alpha, The Omega, The First, The Last, The Morning Star, The Holder of The Key of David, and the Amen. Man writing book after book explaining what our purpose is in this life, giving us, theology, terminology, making trees, animals and even man gods to pray to and seek healing from. False hope, false doctrine, Idol worship and man science. Trying to explain our origin from science, evolution and revolution, new wave religions that can neither hear nor answer prayer. Mankind building up man as a demigod, searching our purpose from the stars and from the Big Bang Theory.

Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Matthew 11:27 is a perfect place to start finding your purpose on this earth. You must be known of The Father, you must be recognized by the All Mighty, without Him there is no purpose in your life, except to die and be judged. Is your purpose in life to posses? James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Jer 17:11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool. Luke 12:19-20 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

The Bible says no.

[Ref.Jam_1:6, Jam_1:7; Job_27:8-10, Job_35:12; Psa_18:41, Psa_66:18, Psa_66:19; Pro_1:28, Pro_15:8; Pro_21:13, Pro_21:27; Isa_1:15, Isa_1:16; Jer_11:11, Jer_11:14, Jer_14:12; Mic_3:4; Zec_7:13;]

Is our purpose in life to recieve Glory from our name and position in life? John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. 1Co 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 2Co 12:6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.Phi 3:18-19 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Well the Bible says no, mans glory is fadeing and foolish to try to achieve.

Is our purpose in life to gain riches? Jesus said; “Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!” “the deceitfulness of riches” Luke 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; James 5:2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Rev 18:15-17 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, Well again the Bible says no. So then you ask, “What is our purpose in life and who is this Son of Man, Jesus Christ?” The answer is simple; Romans12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Our purpose in Life is to be a living sacrifice to God, to seek His Glory, His Wisdom, His Knowledge, His Acceptance as Children of The Almighty. Our purpose in Life is to Serve as our Saviour Served. Then can we also say that our purpose in life is not to be subject to ordinances?

Col 2:20-23 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not;

Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. Can we also say then, that this Son of Man is a liveing word from God that is a guide to rightiousness, to Glory, to Honor, to Life, not as we know it but a life eternial in Spirit and not in the flesh? A regenerative Spirit that leads us to God?

Mat 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Mat 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. Mat 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Mat 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Seek out the Son of Man while He still may be Found and know your purpose in Life.

Hair loss is usually hereditary and might well hit lads as well as ladies. The loss of hair seems due to the hair follicles on the head getting smaller and the hair dropping out altogether. Hair loss commonly follows a hair loss pattern around the hair line and furthermore at the middle of your scalp.

Hair loss is not curable and does not affect directly your actual health, although your emotional health will often become affected through the distress.

There are three fantastic big league treatment methods for losing your hair, Minoxidil, Finasteride and Strand by Strand from Advanced Hair Studio. The first big league genetic baldness treatment is a topical lotion that is applied on the scalp and should be bought from online pharmacies. It works by slowing the speed of hair loss, simply great. I Live

By Demetria Zinga

I stood still
Inwardly fighting
All that I had was taken away
My heart as stone, cold as ice
Another man’s paradise
Was my tomb.

I died.
Inwardly fighting
I thought never to see a brighter day
I thought to recoil within my shell
Forever my mind relived the hell
Of another man’s paradise
My death.
My tomb.

Until…

I felt the heat of a light so bright
Bursting its flame upon my life
Giving me energy, giving me life
Giving me strength for another fight

I lived.

God of the Universe, Master of Life
Healed my wounds, heart like ice
Melted away, paving the way
For a brighter day.

I live.

God’s Work Must Go Forward!

What’s next for God’s Church? Malachi’s Message has served its purpose. ( A book written by PCG minister Gerald Flurry). Those who have ears to hear have listened to what God’s Spirit has had to say to God’s Church. It’s now time to move on.

GOD’S WORK MUST GO FORWARD! The only work that’s left to do now is focus on the NATIONAL LEVEL. We must get out GOD’S ULTIMATUM and fast! Europe is on the rise! Jerusalem is getting international attention (Zech. 14:2). Soon God’s Two Witnesses will rise and shine in a world of darkness (Isa. 60:1-2). GOD’S ABOUT TO RESTORE HIS LAMP TO THE MIDDLE-EAST! (Rev. 11:3; 1 Kgs. 11:36; Amos 9:11; Zech. 12:8).

By Mr. Flurry’s own admission, Malachi’s Message has NOTHING to say about nations. That’s proper, because it was basically his commission to focus in on the CHURCH. Does Mystery of the Ages warn the world? (Herbert W. Armstrong’s crown work). How can it when it doesn’t even include the words Germany, Beast or Europe in its index? Mystery of the Ages is undoubtedly the most important book written since the Bible to PREACH THE GOSPEL around the world. But doesn’t Mr. Flurry understand that’s already been accomplished? BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!

God’s Work must go forward, not backwards! It’s true that we must always preach the Gospel, but now it’s time to emphasize a WARNING MESSAGE. The Church has been warned. The world hasn’t! We must warn them like they’ve NEVER been warned before!

There is only ONE book on earth today (other than the Bible) that clearly warns THE GERMANS ARE COMING! Beyond Babylon: Europe’s Rise and Fall is a hard-hitting book that details the events concerning the rise of the prophetic Beast in Europe, the fall of our Israelite countries, the Two Witnesses, and lets you know why it all has to happen. If you haven’t already read it, check it out for yourself!

Malachi’s Message is the Little Book to God’s CHURCH today. Beyond Babylon is the Little Book with a big impact, destined to become a NATIONAL DEBATE and an INTERNATIONAL CONTROVERSY! It must reach “the largest audience possible”. There exists a Little Book for God’s Church and there’s a Little Book for the nations. This follows the biblical principle of duality. I hope and pray God’s People perceives this to be true, even if their leadership remains too proud and stubborn to see (Ga. 2:9; Rev. 11:8).

After prayer, years ago, God promised that His GREAT INSPIRATION would result in a GREAT PUBLICATION (Prov. 1:23; Ps. 68:11). Beyond Babylon: Europe’s Rise and Fall showcases those precious truths to the world (Isa. 45:3). I realize the Two Witnesses are considered controversial figures (Rev. 11:10; Jer. 15:10), but they must boldly declare GOD’S JUDGMENTS (Micah 3:8). After all, it’s the LORD’S CONTROVERSY (Micah 6:1- 2)! The wise will hear this INTERNATIONAL THUNDER and take shelter (Rev. 10; Prov. 27:12)!

God’s message will ROAR from Jerusalem, and both the heavens and the Earth will tremble at His Word (Joel 3:16)! Mr. Armstrong said when God’s time comes, the plain truth about traditional Christianity would drop like a BOMBSHELL (USBIP)! God’s Time has come! Beyond Babylon explodes that “news bomb” with FULL FORCE! There’s no holding back! (During my interrogation by Israeli Secret Service agents, I told them my book is the only explosives I’m involved with!).

Mr. Flurry recognizes the need to offer something to the GENERAL PUBLIC, other than the meaty booklets about prophecy that basically preach to the converted. That’s good and right. But WHICH book would God have us publish? Beyond Babylon fulfills the need to proclaim the Gospel while emphasizing a warning to the world! It includes the truth about our Israelite identity and responsibility; about God’s Sabbath and Holy Days versus Satan’s Sunday and pagan holidays; about Israel’s demise and Europe’s rise - these are foundational truths. But Beyond Babylon builds upon that sure foundation by pointing out that it’s the pope, the false prophet, who presents Europe’s leader as the Savior of “Christian Western Civilization”; he’ll perform miracles in his presence urging Europe to remodel themselves after the “Holy Roman Empire!” (Rev. 13:14). Together they’ll create a counterfeit Kingdom of God!

Beyond Babylon also explains - FOR THE FIRST TIME - why there are two witnesses, what their mission and purpose is, why they’re stationed in Jerusalem and how they FULFILL the Elijah role!

PCG minister Wayne Turgeon, during our wonderful correspondence (before Mr. Leap turned him against me), wrote concerning my book: “It’s certainly not my place to determine if what you believe God has shown you is true or not, but would you mind presenting Mr. Flurry with an abbreviated version of what you feel is inspired…”. What does he mean it’s not his place to determine whether Beyond Babylon is true or not? Whose place is it? How did he determine if Malachi’s Message was true or not? Are we to rely on MEN to make up our minds for us? What if he had gone to Mr. Tkach for his approval of Mr. Flurry’s work?

We must trust in God’s Spirit of truth and judge everything by God’s Word! Every Church member MUST prove to themselves, prayerfully before God, whether Beyond Babylon is biblical (1 Jn. 2:27). Those who exercise this spiritual responsibility WILL come to understand what’s next in God’s Plan.

Beyond Babylon’s sudden appearance should serve as a SIGN, an indication of where we are now in prophecy (Jn. 12:20-23). Soon God will remove the mountain of opposition that blocks my return to Zion and I’ll continue to build upon the foundation that God has laid in Jerusalem the last time I was there! (Zech. 4:7-8). From here on out it’s FAST FORWARD!

Dharma Times - Women in Buddhism

With the fragrance of carnation still lingering in the air, we look into the role of women in Buddhism.

Women have long enjoyed a special place and played an important role in Buddhism. Buddhism does not consider women as being inferior to men, while accepting the biological and physical differences between the two sexes, does consider men and women to be equally useful to society.

The Buddha emphasizes the fruitful role women can play and should play as in being a wife and a good mother in making the family life a success.

In a family, both the husband and the wife are expected to share equal responsibilities and to discharge their duties with equal dedication. The husband is admonished to consider the wife a friend, a companion, and a partner.

In Buddhism, women who embodied compassionate, gentle, loving kindness have often been associated with Bodhisattvas such as Chenrenzig, ( popularly known as the Goddess of Mercy, or Kuan Yin or Avalokiteshvara ) and various Taras in Tibetan Buddhism.

According to the sutras, Buddha Shakyamuni used to refer to Chenrenzig as a man. In history, Chenrenzig was regarded as a male before the Tang Dynasty. During the Tang Dynasty, it was said that Chenrenzig was a princess called Miau Shan. As Chenrenzig in a feminine form is more intimate, more and more people affirmed this Bodhisattva to be female.

Moreover, in our world, women are always suppressed or even tortured, and therefore there is a strong desire to have a female Bodhisattva who is compassionate and able to salvage them from their sufferings.

“Here there is no man, there is no woman,
No self, no person, and no consciousness.
Labelling ‘male’ or ‘female’ has no essence,
But deceives the evil-minded world.”

And she made the following vow:
“There are many who desire Enlightenment
in a man’s body, but none who work for the
benefit of sentient beings in the body of a
woman. Therefore, until samsara is empty, I
shall work for the benefit of sentient beings
in a woman’s body!”

Reciting the powerful mantra of Chenrenzig daily (108 times) and dedicating the merits to all sentient beings, especially your loved ones, will calm your fears, soothe your worries and have your prayers answered:
OM MANI PADME HUM (the most famous Mantra in the world)
